Welcome to the 5th Annual Benefit Breakfast for Kids Kin ’n Caregivers – Grandfamilies Program. Each year, this gathering reminds us of the extraordinary strength found in kinship families — the resilience of caregivers, the love that anchors children, and the community that surrounds them.

We are honored to welcome three distinguished leaders whose work continues to shape the landscape of kinship care and family support:

• Carl Ayers, Virginia Department of Social Services
• Valerie L’Herrou, Virginia Poverty Law Center

Their voices bring insight, advocacy, and hope to the families we serve.

Your generosity today directly fuels two cornerstone programs that uplift our youth and strengthen caregivers:

• Youth RAPP – Kin Crew Program, empowering teens and young adults in kinship care with leadership development, life‑skills support, and a safe space to grow.
• Grand2Grand Kin Caregiver Mentor Program, connecting caregivers with trained peer mentors who walk alongside them with guidance, encouragement, and lived experience.

Every contribution helps us expand these programs, reach more families, and ensure that no caregiver or child walks this journey alone.
